Alumna appointed to the High Court
Ruth Denke, alumna of the Faculty, has been appointed to the UK High Court.
Ruth graduated with an MA in Jurisprudence from Oxford. She was called to the Bar (Inner Temple) in 1987 and took Silk in 2006. She was appointed as a S(9) 4 Deputy High Court Judge in 2018, assigned to the Family Division.
Ruth specialises in the law relating to the protection of vulnerable people and children. She is a Member of the Welsh Advisory Panel to the Law Commission, a Member of the Panel of Council for the National Assembly for Wales and a member of the Family Law Bar Association.
