We hope you will join us for the talk on 'Regression and Resistance: The Struggle for Women's Rights in Afghanistan' with Shaharzad Akbar and Shazia Choudhry. This talk is in collaboration with Mansfield College.

Taliban's military takeover in August 2021 has led to drastic and devastating reversals for human rights in Afghanistan, particularly for the rights of women and girls. The strongest civil resistance against Taliban also comes from the women's rights community of Afghanistan, both inside the country and in exile. Shaharzad Akbar and Shazia Choudhry will reflect on the struggle for women's rights in Afghanistan in the past two decades & the dilemmas facing Afghan activists now.
