On behalf of University College, we would like to invite you to save the date for the 2025 HLA Hart Memorial Lecture, to be given on 22 May 2025 at 5p.m. in the College Chapel at University College, Oxford. This year's lecture, the 39th in the series funded by the Tanner Foundation, will be given by Professor Elizabeth Anderson, Arthur F. Thurnau Professor and John Dewey Distinguished University Professor of Philosophy and Women’s Studies at the University of Michigan, Ann Arbor.

Professor Anderson specializes in political philosophy, ethics, and feminist philosophy. She has been the recipient of many honours, including election to the American Academy of Arts and Sciences and award of the MacArthur ‘genius’ grant. Professor Anderson will also be resident at University College as the inaugural HLA Hart – JH Mance Visiting Fellow.

The lecture will be followed by a Q&A session.
