ERC 2020 Starting Grant Application Workshops
22nd July and 12th August 2019
As Brexit has been delayed to end October, UK institutions are eligible to apply to host 2020 ERC Starting Grant applications. Although the 2020 ERC Work Programme is not yet published (expected in mid-July), we understand that the 2020 Starting Grant deadline will be in mid-October 2019.
Note: Should the UK leave the EU with a deal on or before 31 October the Withdrawal agreement will come into force and UK participation in Horizon 2020 (including ERC) will continue to the end of the work programme – with successful projects funded from the EC to their end dates. If we leave without a deal the UK Government underwrite guarantee will fund successful projects where these are submitted before the date of Brexit.
The European & International Team workshops for Oxford applicants will take place over the summer. We are running two workshops and have timed these some weeks apart in the hope that prospective applicants will be able to come to one of them. The workshops will be identical and we would be grateful if you could advertise the dates widely as appropriate within your Departments.
The workshop dates and venues are:
Monday 22nd July – 9.30 am to 12.00 pm in Room A, Wellcome Centre for Human Genetics on the Old Road Campus, Headington: map (building no. 7)
Monday 12th August – 9.30 am – 12.00 pm. LR1 (Lecture Room 1) in the Department of Engineering Science, Thom Building, Parks Road, Oxford, OX1 3PJ: map
