Visitors Programme
The centre welcomes applications from academics and research students in the area of intellectual property to spend some time in Oxford. Visitors are encouraged to attend the termly Intellectual Property Speakers Series and discussion group as well as the regular intellectual property lectures, seminars and classes and other events open to members of the universities. For those who are here in March, there is the opportunity to attend the Oxford International Intellectual Property Moot. Visitors also benefit from having full access to facilities provided by the university and the Bodleian libraries. We expect our visitors to have a clearly defined research agenda as well as being proficient in the English Language.
a) Academic Visitor programme
This programme is for academics holding a full-time position in another institution who wish to spend a minimum of four months (maximum twelve months) in Oxford to make use of the research facilities here. The application is made through the Law Faculty's Academic Visitor Programme. If applicants can demonstrate they would find the visitor fees unaffordable, please contact the OIPRC administrator to request a reduction. We accept rolling applications through the year but can only accommodate up to 3 visitors at any point. Please apply well in advance of your proposed visit.
The Centre also confers the title Visiting Research Fellow to a small number of senior academics. If you would like to be considered for the title of Visiting Research Fellow, please mention this in your application.
b) Recognised Student programme
This programme is for research students who with to spend a minimum of one term to a maximum of three terms (one academic year) in Oxford. The application is made through the Graduate Admissions Office. For further information, please refer to this page.
