About the Law and Democracy Network:
The Law and Democracy Network provides a forum for the regular discussion of contemporary issues and academic scholarship on law and democracy in the modern world, especially related but not limited to the regions of the Global South.
Open to analytical, critical and comparative perspectives, it adopts a broad interdisciplinary approach combining public law and constitutional theory with history, politics, sociology and other related fields in humanities and social sciences. With the global rise in populism and growing concerns over democratic decline, the Network seeks to act as a hub bringing together scholars from various disciplinary perspectives working on issues in the intersection of law and democracy.
We will invite emerging and established scholars as well as graduate students researching in the field of legal, political and historical studies to deliver talks, present works in progress and engage in a dialogue with academics at Bonavero and the wider Oxford community.

Its events will be held in hybrid mode in the Gilly Leventis Meeting Room at the Bonavero Institute of Human Rights in Mansfield College from 12:30PM to 2PM on Wednesdays.
