The ‘Waiting Room Project’ aimed to inform people in clinical waiting rooms about medical research, and specifically biobanking. Biobanks are increasingly important in medical research which involved analysing DNA and health data on a large scale to understand disease and develop treatments.
Using digital technologies we provided people with information and insights into policies around biobanking. We surveyed them on the key issues involved in order to increase awareness and the potential for their participation in the future. In addition we gathered information about the public’s preferences for the use of digital technologies and their content to provide information in clinical waiting rooms about health and medical research.
