Research Assistantship Scheme in the Faculty of Law
The Faculty of Law operates a Research Assistant scheme, under which it is possible for an academic post holder or Principal Investigator of a grant to benefit from the assistance of one or more graduate students, who can be employed by the Law Faculty to work on a research project for a specified period of time.
The funding for such appointments is normally external, or limited (e.g. from the Research Support Fund, a start up grant, John Fell fund, etc.).
Research Assistants are typically engaged to help researchers to write book chapters or other publications; on small/pilot empirical research projects; or to assist with the preparation of large grant applications.
All roles for students are advertised on the Law Faculty Work Opportunities for students webpage.
Under no circumstances should work commence without a contract/letter of engagement having been issued by the Head of Administration and Finance and a Right to Work check having been undertaken by the HR Manager. |
