Afua Hirsch is a columnist for the Guardian and appears regularly on the BBC, Sky News and CNN. Brit(ish): On Race, Identity and Belonging, her first book, became a Times Bestseller and won the Royal Society of Literature Jerwood Prize for Non-Fiction. In 2021, she was listed as the ninth most influential person of African or African Caribbean heritage in the United Kingdom (Powerlist 2021).
