The Children's and Family Law Discussion Group ('CFLDG') is co-badging with the Medical Law and Ethics Discussion Group ('MLEDG').
We are hosting two kinds of events.
One is our student collaborative and social on Mondays (6.30-8.00 pm) in odd weeks. This is aimed at generating discussions on the latest developments in the field and providing a platform to the students to present their doctoral and master's research to their peer group, in a relaxed setting. We provide light snacks and refreshments for our socials.
The other is our seminar series that hosts a variety of guests speakers, both academics and practitioners, to encourage lively inter-disciplinary discussion on a number of topical issues regarding the medical and family law. Each of this session consists of a presentation (from 30 to 45 minutes, as agreed with the speaker), followed by enthusiastic debate over lunch. This is being held mainly on Fridays of even weeks (11.30am-1.00 pm) (with a few exceptions, check our term card and the events listing for the most updated information). A sandwich lunch is provided.
Our events are taking place at Cohen Quadrangle on Walton Street (Exeter College off-site).
