InfoLead Executive Education Institute: Call for Applications
CALL FOR APPLICATIONS
The Information and Media Leadership Programme for Legal Professionals and Policymakers (InfoLead) is an executive education programme that focuses on information and media literacy. By bringing together legal professionals, including members of the judiciary, and policymakers to engage with cutting-edge issues around the risks of digital media for democracy, the Institute will deepen the understanding of participants around a range of pressing topics including the complexities of online content moderation (including the role of companies, governments, and civil society groups), information threats, including externally driven mis- and disinformation campaigns during elections, and the rapidly evolving role and regulation of generative AI.
Our approach is evidence-based and participants will explore the latest academic literature and legal and policy trends through at least 30 hours of class time. The taught sessions will be complemented by a specially curated seminar and social programme, drawing on the rich and dynamic offerings at the University of Oxford, to facilitate networking and collaboration between participants. At the end of the programme, participants will have a deep understanding of how to address legitimate concerns around information disorder within a human rights framework.
The InfoLead Institute is part of a larger project in partnership with the University of Florence and the University of Helsinki, supported by the European Media and Information Fund (EMIF), including the Gulbenkian Foundation.
LOCATION
The next Institute will take place at the University of Oxford 7-11 April 2025. Continued collaboration will be supported including through a series of networking events. Applicants must be available for the duration of the programme. While there is no assessment for this Institute, participants who successfully complete the entire programme will receive a certificate of participation.
