South-East Europe 2016 - 2017

About

The fifth South East Europe Regional Rounds of the Price Media Law Moot Court Competition were held in Croatia in December 2016, in collaboration with the University of Zagreb, Faculty of Law. As you may notices South East Europe Rounds were moved from Belgrade to Zagreb this year.

Three teams from Budapest, Belgrade and Zagreb took part in competition and qualified for the International Rounds in Oxford. Around 10 media lawyers, regulators and scholars judged the oral arguments in this rounds, and we are proud to say that we had great experience  professors and lawyers from Croatia and our long time colleague Paolo Cavaliere and Kristina Cendic and alumni all the way from Philippines Raphael Pangalangan joining us in Zagreb. Our judges were kind enough to share there experience and knowledge with the participants.

The great success of the editions of the Regional Rounds in South East Europe, as well as the great preformances of the teams from the region in the International Rounds of the Price Moot Court over the last years, have been a testament to the quality of mooting culture in the South East Europe.

We hope to see more teams in Zagreb in the years to come and thus raise awareness and give greater significance to the Media Law in the region.
