Preparing for the Moot
The Price Moot is a valuable training exercise for all involved. Students must do extensive research on cases and law relating to freedom of expression. Individuals who come to serve as judges, including actual judges, as well as members of advocacy organizations and practicing lawyers, are required to familiarize themselves with the issues at hand before they adjudicate.
If you’re planning on participating in one of the Price Media Law Moot Court Programme’s upcoming competitions, whether as a judge or as a participant, whether in Oxford or at one of our regional competitions, we highly recommend you spend some time looking at the detailed written and video guides or with some of the other resources that have been prepared for you.

The main hub for accessing all of these is the Participant’s Guide with direct access to guides on writing Memorials and preparing for the Oral Rounds, as well as a plethora of videos from expert legal advisors on legal research and preparation, plus links to array of other useful legal databases and resources. | For those that are coming to serve as judges, we set out advice for judging either the Memorials – the written submissions students prepare in advance of the competition – or the Oral Rounds. Both are extremely important to the overall student experience and the guides should be reviewed whether you are one of our most experienced judges or are participating for the first time. |
