During the Middle East Regional Rounds for the 2018 Price Moot Court Competition that took place in Zouk Mosbeh, we had a expert discussion regarding the following topic “Media Freedoms between regulations and individual rights”.
Experts that join the discussion were Jessica Dheere, Executive Director at SMEX, she talked about the Arab Digital Rights Dataset: Surfacing laws and practices affecting human rights in digitally networked spaces and Luna Safwan from Daily telegraph and freelance journalist, she talked about media freedoms, ethics and respect the of privacy, the discussion was moderated by Ahmed F. Khalifa.

The sixth annual Middle East Regional Rounds took place from the 30 January to the 2 February, 2018 at Notre Dame University – Faculty of Law and Political Science in Zouk Mosbeh, Lebanon

Timeline
The sixth annual Middle East Regional Rounds, hosted in partnership with Notre Dame University – Faculty of Law and Political Science (FLPS), Zouk Mosbeh-Lebanon will take place from 30 January to the 2 February, 2018 in the Main Campus of Notre Dame University (NDU), Zouk Mosbeh-Lebanon (15 km away from Beirut). Registration is now closed!

Eligibility
Please note that teams from the countries/regions listed below must apply to Middle East Rounds in order to qualify for the International Rounds in Oxford. Teams should check which Regional Round applies to them, if there is no applicable Regional Round they may apply directly to the International Rounds.

Afghanistan, Algeria, Bahrain, Egypt, Iran, Iraq, Jordan, Kuwait, Lebanon, Libya, Morocco, Oman, Qatar, Saudi Arabia, Syria, Tunisia, United Arab Emirates and Yemen.
