Virtual International Rounds 6 – 10 June 2022

The Monroe E Price Media Law Moot Court Competition and its institutional home, the Bonavero Institute of Human Rights at the University of Oxford, have been closely monitoring the unfolding humanitarian crisis in Ukraine. We thank all our partners and friends who responded to our consultation regarding the participation of Russian teams in the final online rounds of the Moot.
We continue to watch in dismay at the events unfolding in Ukraine, following the Russian invasion. Our previous statement is available here. We wish again to express our solidarity with our Ukrainian partners and all those who have been adversely affected.
Given the current life-threatening circumstances in Ukraine, it is very unlikely that the Ukrainian team will be able to participate in the final online rounds in early April. In order to express our solidarity with those affected by the invasion, especially those from the Price Media Moot community in Ukraine, and to give the Ukrainian team a meaningful opportunity to participate in the final online rounds, we have taken the decision to postpone this year’s international rounds of the Price Moot Court Competition to the week of 6 - 10 June 2022.
We apologise for the inconvenience this postponement may cause to qualifying teams, but we are sure you will understand the reasons for our decision.
We will continue to monitor the situation and will consider further modifications to the format of the final online rounds, including whether the Russian team will be permitted to participate, by early May. We will inform qualifying teams, coaches, and judges of any further modifications as soon as we can.
