Graduate Scholarships

New Applicants

Once you have been offered a place on one of the Faculty's graduate programmes, you will automatically be considered for all Faculty awards for which you are eligible.

Some scholarships, including the Non-Full Funding Bursaries awarded on the basis of financial need and those having the financial need as part of the criteria, may require you to complete a separate application procedure; if so, there will be information about how to apply on the relevant scholarship description page.

Information about the application procedure for the Non-Full Funding Bursaries will also be included in your offer letter.

Take a look at our Graduate Scholars and find out more about their experiences.

Current DPhil students

The on-course DPhil students are eligible for the Non-Full Funding awards under a separate exercise, with the application round for the next year's funding being announced in May. The call for applications, containing all the details and the link to the application form, is sent out by email through the law-research mailing list.

Other resources

For information on other funding sources offered by the University, you might find it useful to double-check the Student Fees and Funding section; another useful source of information are the Colleges’ websites since a number of awards they offer are not advertised through the Faculty.
